Two Christmas Shows

This year Sisters Creed participated in two Christmas shows. Kristin had a booth at the Pickin Christmas Show and Artisan Market in Post Falls, Idaho and Victoria and Stacey had a booth at the Vintage Christmas Market in Bonners Ferry, Idaho.

This is a charming little Christmas show in the town where Victoria grew up. There were great vendors and so much cute vintage Christmas. I didn't participate but I did come up and shop!! My mom and Stacey didn't send me any pictures of their booth pre-show and when I was there it was super packed with customers so I wasn't able to get any pictures of their booth but it was really cute!! I *may* have been one of their best customers!! :)

Next up was the Pickin Christmas Vintage Show and Artisan Market:

I was a vendor at this show last year and loved it so I was super excited to participate again this year.

This show also had a lot of great vendors with darling Christmas decor!! It was a really fun and festive weekend. I had a fantastic show and I look forward to doing it again next year!! Here are a few more pictures of my booth:

Thank you to all who came out and shopped! I appreciate each and every one of you!! A big thank you to Brenda and Ron who host this wonderful show!!

We are at the end of our 2018 show season!! We have had a wonderful year!! Thank you so much for all of your love and support! Things are changing a bit for our business in 2019. My mom (Victoria) will not be doing shows anymore except for Farm Chicks this upcoming year but she has a little booth at Junk on 4th in Coeur d' Alene, Idaho.

My sister Stacey will also be doing less shows in 2019. She has a booth at the Main Street Antique Mall in Moscow,  Idaho.

I will continue doing vintage shows because I absolutely LOVE them!! In fact my next show will be Pickin Post Falls Vintage Show and Artisan Market in February of 2019. I hope to see you there!!

Autumn Lunch at the Lake

Lunch at the Lake

We decided to host a lunch at our family's lake house last weekend for several of our friends in the vintage business. We wanted an opportunity to gather together as friends. We never get enough time to visit at shows!! We are always busy setting up and tearing down or selling. :) We invited some of our good friends to come over for lunch and we had the best time!!

There is just something so wonderful about gathering with good friends over good food. Yes, we talked about business. (These ladies are amazingly talented and run fantastic businesses: Penny Simonson, Jennifer Wood of Funky Junk, Rebecca Armstrong of Peace Within, Kathy Walker of Unexpected Necessities.) But mostly we just talked about life. It was wonderful and illuminating and inspiring and delightful!! We laughed and talked loudly and boisterously! We are a passionate bunch! It shows in all that that we do and say. It is always entertaining and fulfilling to be among a tribe of creatives!!

I love being a part of a community of women who love, support, champion, and encourage one another. Every one of these women could be considered *competition* in our industry. We are at the same shows and we all sell vintage and antique goods. But each one of these women have been a lifeline of encouragement and advice to us in navigating this industry. They have each gone out of their way more times than I can count to support and champion each other and our business Sisters Creed. So have many others who weren't at this lunch by the lake. It is a beautiful thing. These amazing women have become such dear and life long friends.

What a wonderful day!! For some it even carried on into the night! I love it!! It was so invigorating to share thoughts and ideas and to be with good friends who truly understand the business. Each of these women understand the true meaning of friendship. They show up...not just at shows... but in our every day lives. I am grateful for each one of them!! I left that evening with a smile on my face, my bucket full, and my heart overflowing with love and gratitude.

Love,

Sisters Creed

The Mad Hatter Vintage Flea Market 2018

Mad Hatter time again!

This show is such fun! It is always a great kick off for Fall and the holidays every year. I love the atmosphere and vibe of this show. It is a Friday night and a Saturday show. The Five Mile Prairie Grange in Spokane, WA is decorated to the nines by our dear friend, Gladys Hanning, and her daughter, Celia. There are several vendors inside the grange and then vendors outside in white tents. The white tents are lit up at night and the whole event has an enchanting and magical feel to it. It is fun to attend and even more fun to participate in. This year my mom and I were vendors. It was extra nice because my mom hasn't done this particular show in over four years. Stacey and I have done it together or I have done it on my own so it was fun to have her there again this year.

Hanging out with some of our vendor friends prior to the start of the show on Friday night!

We had two tents side by side with our checkout in the middle. Here are some pictures of our tents by day and by night.

I especially love the tents at night!! Everything seems extra sparkly and pretty.

This is such a fun show thanks to our amazing customers and also to the other vendors, many of whom are good friends of ours!! There is great music and fantastic food. It is just a joy to be a part of this event.

We had a fantastic show!! Thank you so much to everyone who came and shopped!! We love you all!!

Next up... we have two Christmas shows. Stacey and Victoria will be representing Sisters Creed in Bonners Ferry, Idaho at the Vintage Christmas show in November. More info to come. Kristin will be at Pickin' Christmas in Post Falls, Idaho the first weekend in December. Hope to see you there!!

Funky Junk Antiques Show

Funky Junk 2018

Over Labor Day weekend we were vendors at the Funky Junk Antiques show in Sandpoint, Idaho. This is such a fun show! It is the perfect venue for families, friends, and vintage finds. We love this show because so many of our dearest friends are vendors and the show promoters. This show always has such a great fun and family feel. Jennifer Wood and her husband, Nathan, are one-of-a-kind!! We love them and we always have such a great time!!

The theme this year was Westward Ho! Jennifer and Nathan always have a theme and then they do some kind of creative visual display as you come in the doors to the Funky Junk show.

This year was extra fun because we had a bunch of family in town and some extra helpers.

It is also so much fun to hang out with our vendor friends. I wish that I took more pictures!!

Here we are with our friend Rebecca of Peace Within.

Show Promoter Jennifer Wood (r) and her sister Erin.

Here are a few pictures of our booth. We had a triple booth space.

We had such a great time at the Funky Junk Antiques Show!! We absolutely love being a part of the Funky Junk Family look forward to next year!! Thank you to all who came and shopped. You were wonderful!! We loved seeing old friends and meeting new ones. We had a fantastic weekend!

This September Sisters Creed is coming in HOT!! We have TWO VINTAGE SHOWS!! In addition to Funky Junk we will be vendors at the Mad Hatter Vintage Flea Market is Spokane, WA.
