Pickin Post Falls!
My first vintage show for 2019 was Pickin Post Falls in Post Falls, Idaho. This show is put on by Brenda and Ron Buckingham of Past Blessings Farm. They have vintage shows in Washington and Idaho. I have participated in their Christmas show for the past two years and have loved it. This is the first time that I have done their Spring show...although it I shouldn't call it a Spring show since it was February and it did NOT feel at all spring-like!! We had blizzarding conditions for both days of the show. The weather was CRAZY!
Some of my set-up day helpers!
Since I am doing shows on my own now it has become even more of a family affair for my kids and husband. It has been really fun! They are all so sweet to help out! My little girls were great at loading and unloading the trailer and lugging furniture and bins. They had to help out more than they usually do with set-up and tear down since my son, Kameron, who is a Senior was on a school trip to Portland. He and my husband usually do most of the heavy lifting but those girls were scrappers!!
Set-up day was unfortunately on Valentine's Day. It made it a little bit more challenging to know what kind of merchandise to bring to the show. Valentine's Day was over before the show started and Easter isn't until April which seemed so far away. Also it wasn't feeling very spring-like either so a bunch of Spring merchandise didn't seem super appropriate since we were deep in the midst of several feet of snow and daily blizzards. But I was up for the challenge and I did sort of a combination of all of those things while trying to keep a cozy and warm vibe.
Me and my cute booth helper...my husband Tyler.
The hours and days at the Pickin Post Falls show changed this year. Instead of being a Saturday and Sunday show it was a Friday and Saturday show. The hours on Friday were Noon-9pm and Saturday 10-4pm. I was curious about how the change in hours would affect the crowd size and customers. But I shouldn't have been worried. Vintage shoppers are the ABSOLUTE best!! I couldn't believe the line of people waiting outside for the doors to open at noon. Especially on a Friday and in a blizzard!! Vintage shoppers are the most loyal and hardcore shoppers!! I appreciate each and every one of you!!
We had the best time being vendors at this fun show. Brenda and Ron Buckingham who put on this event are so wonderful to work with and so supportive and encouraging. It is a great group to be a part of! They go above and beyond to make this event fantastic for shoppers and vendors alike!
More Sisters Creed booth helpers...my daughters Ailey and Bryn...Sisters Creed the next generation!! They were so excited to help out and to get to wear real vendor badges!! LOL.
A HUGE thank you to all of our AMAZING Sisters Creed shoppers!! Wow! You guys are the best!! Thank you coming out in the snow and on terrible roads!! Thank you for being filled with so much fun, laughter, and joy!! It made Pickin Post Falls such a wonderful event!!
Sincerely,
Kristin
