Welcome to picturesque Palouse, Washington!

My husband and I fell in love with this town while house hunting about 6 years ago. As luck would have it, we purchased our 4-bedroom farmhouse, built a brand-new business, gave our little boy a sister, and have continued to fall more in love with this town every day.

Without further ado, here are my Top Ten favorite things about Palouse:

1. The Bluegrass Festival

This fun family-friendly music festival is held annually on the last Saturday of July.

Sisters Creed has had the pleasure of being vendors at the Blue Grass Festival several times.


2. The sense of community spirit

From Easter egg hunts to cleaning up open spaces...from St. Patrick's Day celebrations to building a new community center, this town's community spirit soars!!

3. The Saturday night-reservation only-gourmet dinners at the Bank Left Bistro


The romantic atmosphere complete with fresh flowers, vintage linens, glassware and silver is incredible. The impeccable flavors, courses, coffee and wines make my foodie heart sing! We are lucky to have this restaurant in our tiny little town.


4. My book club

I adore this group of women--of various ages and professions--who gather once a month to discuss our passion for literature. This year we are challenging ourselves by selecting books written before 1965. My Antonia, Dune, The Bell Jar, Confederacy of Dunces, The Hobbit...to name a few.

5. The flora and fauna

The rolling wheat fields and pine trees, the landscape and river that envelopes our town is simply breathtaking. I have seen so many beautiful sunsets and falling stars in the 6 years we have lived here. 6. Heidi Kite's annual Palouse Christmas Antiques Sale



My Mom, sister and I have been vendors at this sale for the past 5 years. We love setting up our booth, greeting old vendor friends, and connecting with people in town. There are always tons of vintage and thrifted treasures to be found.


7. The Lions Club Hamburger Cart



The Lions Club is always selling burgers at every town function, and their burgers are the best! I have to give a shout out to the hard working guys that run this cart, volunteer their time, and donate money to many many worthy causes around the area.


8. The City Park


This park is absolutely beautiful, with tall shady trees that are perfect to spread your picnic blanket under. Recently a local non-profit group raised enough money to purchase and install a brand-new play structure and swings. It is awesome--our kids love to come and play here.

9. The Green Frog


Their coffee and food are delicious. My favorite? The grilled cheese sandwich on Wheatberries bread, the creamy potato soup, and a shortbread cookie dipped in chocolate and sprinkles. Divine!!

10. St. Elmo's Antiques store



I love to go into this store for inspiration. It is such a beautiful little shop. I love to find cool and unique gifts for my mom, sisters, and sisters-in-law.

Sneak Peek-- Kristin

Here are a few sneak peeks of items for our Sisters Creed Sales. My mom, sister and I are busy working on fun projects and finding great items for our sales. Here are a few things I found this last week.

I have enjoyed these lovely items in my home for many years but as my tastes have changed and space is at a premium right now it is time to bid them adieu and for someone else to enjoy them.


These awesome items were found while spending time in the beautiful Palouse area of our state. I may or may not be able to part with them. I'm still deciding.

I also sorted through my eleven Christmas bins and found quite a few items that I have enjoyed over the years but are ready to find a new home but I forgot to snap a picture before they were packed up tight awaiting a future Christmas Sale.

Meet Victoria

I’m Victoria and I live in Sandpoint, Idaho. I am a North Idaho “native” – left right after high school for college and a career – who has come back after 40 years to the most beautiful place to live, work & play in all of the USA!!

I am married to Ken – we are still newlyweds at 2 ½ years of marriage. I was a single Mom with 5 children for twenty plus years – convinced that single & independent was the much preferred status – when a “not-so-blind” date (Ken & I both went to the same high school, grew up in the same town but never dated) reintroduced me to the sweetest North Idaho farm boy…. and …. once in awhile, right in the middle of an ordinary life, love gives us a fairy tale…

Ken is the yang to my yin … practical, very detail oriented and thorough… he can make my wildly creative ideas for furniture, home décor etc actually stay together and functionally work. His shop is amazing with the most wonderful array of tools, saws… everything one could possibly imagine. Ken is also a “junker” but he is looking for vintage car parts, antiques and tools and he is still shaking his head when he witnesses my extreme excitement at finding some junking gem and my pronouncement of the unexpected function I see for its future….

Far and away, the joys of my life, are my five children (4 daughters and 1 son) and nine grandchildren… My children are wonderfully bright, independent and creative – they have been part of the journey from the very beginning. They all share my love of reading; cooking; gardening; out-door activities for all seasons and junking… To be able to start a business in which I can work with my daughters and now a granddaughter is truly a joy beyond measure.

My style is “cottage meets country home”. Casual comfort with a bit of whimsy is the key for me. I love a mix of vintage and junk-tiques … with some French inspired industrial loft tossed in. My heart sings when family & guests say “ I feel so comfortable and warm in your home”. Can there be a higher compliment??

I have always loved the hunt for unexpected treasures – perhaps in the beginning it was more out of necessity when I was working my way through college and then raising children on a limited budget – but it has become a passion over the years – feeding my creative soul. I am a seamstress and a quilter with a love for fabrics. I have a never-ending list of creative projects and will always take on one more… I know there is a “sisterhood” of women who are kindred spirits on this creative life journey. The name for our business - Sisters Creed - envisions this sisterhood. We recognize and embrace our new found friends everywhere we go…such a sisterhood of creative women who recycle…reuse…repurpose…enriching their lives and those they love.
